| I found wedding photography through the fine art world. Over the past ten years I have been in more than 24 art exhibitions across the country, and as the director of a fine art photography school I have had the good fortune to jury and curate a number of photography exhibitions for museums, art centers and art galleries. I regularly give public lectures on the art of photography as well as teach many classes and workshops on photographic lighting, portraiture, color theory, art as a spiritual practice (and more!). For three years I was the lead assistant for a celebrity fashion photographer and on top of all of this- since 2008 I have been a parent as well. What I have learned through all of my training is that to make great pictures you need to be present in the moment and aware of what is going on around you. Thats it! All of the technical mumbo jumbo and creative talent naturally expresses itself if I am able to see what is unfolding around me and put myself in the right spot at the right time. I am based in Denver, Colorado but travel nation wide and world wide to photograph destination weddings. In my portfolios you will see wedding images from Maui, Carmel, Kauai, Estes Park and more.I truly love what I do, and I feel that this comes though with each and every session that I shoot.
