My background
My love for fine art is what brought me to the world of photography more than 14 years ago. After graduating summa cum laude from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Photography, I was fortunate to become studio manager for a celebrity portrait and fashion photographer. During this time, I helped create stunning portraits of actors, professional athletes, and their families. From 2006-2010, I served as the Executive Director of a fine art photography school, where I curated and juried a number of photography exhibitions for museums, art centers and galleries. Over the past decade, I have also taught over 300 photographic workshops, covering a wide range of subjects including basic photography, portraiture, studio lighting, color theory and creative expression. I have also been fortunate to have my own work displayed in dozens of exhibitions around the country. I am actively involved in the Denver art community and regularly give photography lectures at museums and art institutions around Colorado.

My passion
Throughout my professional photography career, I have come to realize what I really love to do: capture images of couples, children and families during the celebrations and milestones of their lives. One of my favorite photographic experiences is capturing the joy and beauty of a wedding day through imagery. The promise and hope that a wedding day symbolizes is one that moves and inspires me each and every time I share in it. I often meet my wedding clients during their engagement, only to later shoot their maternity photos, take pictures of their newborn babies, and create annual portraits of their families. I feel privileged and honored to capture the most precious and beautiful moments of my clients' lives; and while I love all aspects of photography, this is the work that truly inspires me.

My style
Through years of experience I have found that the art of being present in the moment allows me to capture the best images, whether I am shooting an all-day wedding or taking a few shots of a newborn baby. Although I enjoy shooting in a variety of styles, my favorite images are those that are clean, elegant and expressive. I typically shoot digitally in color, but I adore the classic beauty of black and white photography, so I convert my favorite shots into gorgeous monochromatic images for my clients to choose from. Please feel free to review my website to see samples of my work. I am very flexible and open minded, and will happily work with my clients to accommodate their needs, whether that means traveling out of state for a destination wedding, or including the family dogs in holiday portraits. Please feel free to contact me-- I would be happy to meet with you personally to discuss your ideas. Thank you for your interest in my work. I look forward to helping you capture your celebrations and milestones with images you will treasure for years to come!
